We are currently looking for a talented Bid Manager to be responsible for the management of our content library and the production of proposals that articulate Diversity Travel’s value proposition.
Reporting to the Sales Director the role can be based either at Home or Hybrid (combination of home and Manchester office). Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the central tender library and content
- Project manage the Diversity response to PQQs and ITTs in line with the Bid Management Process
- Work with Sales Department to Identify win themes, challenges, resources and key personnel required for the bid at the earliest stage
- Develop an outline structure for the bid response and allocate ownership of content provision to subject matter experts as appropriate
- Liaise with senior management and stake-holders across the business to gather bid content and resolve challenges
- Lead the writing and composition of professional bids, demonstrating excellent writing skills and the inclusion and formatting of charts, images and graphics to deliver an impactful response
- Assist with planning sales presentations ensuring bid messages flow through to presentation
- Support the feedback process for both wins & losses to ensure we maintain a continuous improvement philosophy in bid management
Job requirements
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in bid writing within a business services environment
- Demonstrable ability to write focused and compelling content
- Experienced in managing the bid process, including dealing with Sales and Senior Managers
- Strong written and verbal English language skills with extensive vocabulary
- Fluency in Dutch or German desirable but not essential
- High attention to detail with excellent editing and proofing skills
- Experience of coordinating and updating a knowledgebase system
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Advanced MS Word skills & proficient in MS Office
- Experience of the travel management sector would be beneficial
- Adobe InDesign and Photoshop skills preferable
