We are a leading travel management company for the charity and academic communities and we’re proud and passionate about what we do.

We are currently looking for a Development Manager (Educational Group Travel) to join our Study Trips Team. The role will take ownership of client relationships, opportunities and leads to develop a high performing team who work proactively to increase enquiries coming into the DST team from all customer types. Key area of responsibility will include:

  • Coach and mentor Educational Development Executives providing development plans and monthly one-to-ones
  • Ensure all staff meet their KPI & SLA targets, addressing and removing underachievement through effective target setting
  • Collaborate with the Business Partners, Client Implementation & Account Management teams to ensure efficient & effective implementation all new Diversity Study Trips clients
  • Assist the DT Sales team to win customers and support the completion of tenders, proposals and attend relevant events, maintaining a high level of competitor awareness
  • Use CRM effectively to manage pipeline and existing clients
  • Provide MI and reporting as requested by the Head of Development
  • Support Head of Development with complaints investigations and client issues.
  • Develop relationships at a senior level with major clients via telephone and face to face meetings. Actively using all opportunities to gain contacts and build customer base.

Job requirements

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience and knowledge gained in the Educational and Group Travel sector
  • Strong leadership skills with experience of developing and motivating people in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, highly organised and ability to achieve results through effective goal setting, strategic planning and engagement
  • A strong relationship builder with outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent record of maximising opportunities and profitability
  • Strong customer focus to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Keen attention to detail with and tenacious approach
  • High level of IT and systems competency
  • Confident at presenting to customers
  • Positive brand ambassador

Our range of benefits include:

  • Salary circa £35,500.00 (dependent on experience) plus bonus
  • 23.5 days (holiday plus bank holidays), rising to 24.5 days
